Building a safe and inclusive environment for all

The FA's SAFEGUARDING FRAMEWORK is a three-part strategy

Implementing preventative safeguarding measures (such as safer recruitment) to create fun, safe football environments;

Making the reporting of concerns as easy as possible;

Ensuring safeguarding, child protection and adult at risk concerns are investigated swiftly and thoroughly in conjunction with statutory agencies – and with demonstrable outcomes.

reporting concerns

There are five ways to report a concern:

1. To your club or league Designated Safeguarding Officer – please see our Club Officials page;

2. To your County FA Designated Safeguarding Officer. Click here for a list of County FA contacts;

3. By emailing The FA Safeguarding Team at safeguarding@TheFA.com;

4. If urgent and you cannot contact your club, league or County FA Designated Safeguarding Officer, you should call the NSPCC 24-hour helpline on 0808 800 5000;

5. If it is an emergency because a child or children are at immediate risk, then call the Police or Children’s Social Care in your area

safer recruitment & dbs checks

All of the Grassington Juniors FC coaches have attended the FA Safeguarding course.

The football club also completes DBS checks on any new member of the team and completes DBS checks every two years thereafter.

If you have any questions on any of our Safeguarding policies and procedures please contact the clubs Welfare Officer.
